Tributes and Impressionist

Shania's fame is now getting to the point that impressionist and "tribute" albums are coming out. Fellow Canadian singer Donna Huber started an act called "Shania in Me", in which she appeared with Shania guise and hamming it up with songs from WIM.

"I've been told that she really is very good, I'm determined to see her show... I don't want to put her off or anything, so I'll arrange tickets in advance and sneak into the club just before she comes on. I don't want to let her know I'm there."

Cledus T Judd released a "tribute" album called"If Shania was Mine". In which he surrenders his dignity and drools sappily over her, ahem, "booty shakin' round behind?"

"No I don't I have (heard the album) I think I heard that someone made a record about me but I don't know any more than that. I guess it's a compliment."

So there you have it, Shania had sent almost all men, who have seen her, WILD. But it is no way to talk about a married lady. Hell, we can always dream!

  1. Ms. Huber is a so-called Shania "impersonator" who, like many others, is trying to make money off Shania's fame, in her case by touring clubs. This act was started without "permission," and Shania has been kind enough to allow this woman to perform her copyrighted songs for the "act."
  2. Mr. Judd's single is entitled "If Shania Was Mine"... from his parody album "I Stoled This Record." Shania has seen the "ISWM" parody video and reportedly thought it humorous... and Judd delivered roses to Shania at her Fan Fair booth this summer. Shania was also kind enough to do a cute cameo at the end of Judd's latest parody video (now airing on CMT).
