Shania's "The Woman In Me" continues to shatter records... as easily the fastest selling country album (by years) and now "officially" the BIGGEST seller ever (by over 2 million) by a female country artist, it is RIAA certified in 9/96 for U.S. sales (alone) of over 9 MILLION and counting, now the third biggest seller of all time!
In 3/96 Shania's album "The Woman in Me"
was certified for "diamond" sales in Canada (1 million),
the first "country" album by a Canadian artist ever
to achieve that status, and is at roughly 1.6 million in sales
to date (10/96) ...and counting in both countries... and hopefully,
if her parent company Polygram would finally start to do it's
job, "WIM" will finally start to become more "globally"
available and its sales skyrocket worldwide.
