Reba McEntire, who says women have to work "twice as hard" as the men to make a go of it in country music, is outspoken in her belief that Shania Twain isn't getting her due from her colleagues.
"I wish the whole business of country music would join forces and kick it in the butt again. And when we get a Shania Twain, let's nominate her for album of the year, for Pete's sake. This woman has sold 10 million copies. Who in the thunder else has done that?
"If it had been a man, I think it would have been different and that's sad. They should have been shouting from the rooftops about what this woman has done in country music without even touring.
"What does she have to do? I think she's got showmanship, she's beautiful, she can sing. It's almost like everybody is jealous of her success and I don't like that."
